'THE LOOKING GLASS'

An experimental, futuristic take on a pyschadelic theme for Insomniac's extraordinary Beyond Wonderland festival, held in South California March 2025, stage hosted and curated by The Factory 93.

Eighteen huge cantilevered mirrored shards rise up from the stage, as if time and reality has shattered into pieces - the broken fragments of 'The Looking Glass' tesselate, frozen in time as endless reflections of light and video dance, morph and shape-shift through the set. Swirling beams and rotating prisms punch out into the crowd working their way through the shards, reaching out into the audience in surreal, dreamlike patterns - twisting and turning in a hypnotic and fluid display.

Video content shows mesmeric, pyschadelic geometric patterns whirl and twist behind the set pieces, show-stopping moments of the entire display turning to glass and shattering into pieces, and surreal worlds and strange landscapes drawing the audience in, inviting them to enter and to explore what lies beyond 'The Looking Glass'.

Each of the giant mirrored shards are lined with LED bars as hypnotic light patterns make their way through the set. The mirror effect in reference to & drawing the audience back to ‘The Looking Glass’ theme both in a literal sense, and metaphorically as infinity effects of light and visuals bounce off one other, creating endless realms of patterns and light in a spectacular multi-dimensional, multi-sensory AV experience.
