GROUND-BREAKING NEW OPEN-AIR ARENA FOR CREAMFIELDS 2025 - BY LUCID CREATES

HALO is a monumental 40 metre diameter, cyclical outdoor arena with a pioneering 360 & overhead video, lighting and sound package by renowned stage & show design studio Lucid Creates. The vast overhead structure comprises twelve 16m towers, each lined with LED screen and lighting FX. 3 x 12m rings lined with video screen are suspended from the very centre of the arena, above the audience. Lucid have described HALO as an evolution of the legendary, and much loved RUNWAY stage, which made its debut at the festival in 2022.

The studio has spent thousands of hours developing and creating an innovative, unique truss system that places creativity, design and audience experience at the forefront. This heavy duty truss system was borne out of a creative vision to achieve outdoor stage designs that would not be bound by limitations of products that were already on the market. The custom system allows for huge weights to be suspended from the ground support, resulting in the all encompassing, overhead, 360 audio visual experiences that have become a signature in the studio's design style and what people have come to expect from a Lucid stage and show. With a 7ton centre-point load, HALO takes what the studio has been working on over the past 10 years, both from an engineering standpoint and creatively, to the next level. This is the next step in both Runway’s evolution, but also in Lucid’s - as artists, engineers and as show designers.

HALO pushes both sonic and visual boundaries in a pioneering exploration and celebration of electronic music, as visuals, sound and light whip around the arena to create an extraordinary, physical sensation - blurring the lines between hearing and feeling. HALO celebrates circularity as a universal symbol which spans cultures with extensive meaning. The circle represents the notions of wholeness, the self and the infinite. Circles within circles will see light, sound and visuals move endlessly around the arena - removing any defined beginning or end – everything is connected with, and within each other, holding the crowd & the DJ together as one in the space between them.
